The tragic accident that occurred on the morning of Sunday, July 16, on the CE-060 highway, between Caririaçu and Juazeiro do Norte, cast a pall of mourning over the Cariri region.
The irreparable loss of an entire family, consisting of Hérida Nascimento da Silva, Sebastião Cícero Gomes, and little Miguel Nascimento Gomes, barely 3 years old, highlights the fragility of life and the unpredictability of fate.

The reason for the trip, a surgical procedure that little Miguel was scheduled to undergo, adds a layer of sadness to the tragedy. The hope for healing and well-being was abruptly cut short, turning into pain and mourning.
The accident, which occurred around 7:00 a.m. m., caused the vehicle to fall into a stream near Sítio Piripiri. The depth of the water, approximately 5 meters, hampered rescue and contributed to the fatal outcome.
